Finding alignment in whatever you do – The PURUSHARTHAS
Time: Saturday 12pm
Facilitator: Fabienne Hansoul
The journey of yoga begins with some of life’s biggest questions, an endeavor to know who we are and why we are here. Meditating on them, the ancient Yogis discovered four fundamental aims or motivations of Life – The Purusharthas – that profoundly shape our everyday actions and guide us on the path to a meaningful life. Through the experiential workshop we will shed light on the four forces at play - Dharma, Artha, Kama & Moksha – that look directly into what drives us in our actions, the diverse demands and opportunities of our lives. Most of the time our intention behind our actions are very right and yet we feel uncertain about the directions to take. Working with the 4 Purusharthas offers a systematic, tried and tested technique, to broaden self-inquiry: Am I managing my life in a way to support my spiritual growth? What do I really want at the level of my Soul? How to align day to day actions in this direction?’. Purusharthas helps us to comprehend life as a whole, its hopes and aspirations, its acquisitions and enjoyment, its sublimation and spiritualization. The workshop is for anyone interested in exploring Yoga Psychology beyond the practices of Asana and Pranayama and in deepening the work about oneself.
